A Fun Birthday Card!

Hello!  

It's hard to believe that it's the last day of November!

Yikes!  I had better get started on Christmas cards!

This week at

 Freshly Brewed  Challenges

the challenge is

Use Cloth or Felt

I chose to make a fun Birthday Card

using the, "All Dressed Up" rubber stamp

from Fresh Brewed Designs!

Even though the holidays are here, we still need to have

 pretty birthday cards

for our friends and family that aren't necessarily holiday themed.

This is such a fun and cheerful stamp to work with!

I have some pretty yellow fabric that my mother gave me.

I made flowers with the fabric using a MFT dienamic.

Then I stamped the skirt on the fabric and cut it out.

I colored the stamped image with my copic markers.

Then I coated the "top" of the dress with crystal effects.
The skirt has the unique feel of the cotton fabric.

Cork cut with MFT dienamic

The leaves and decorative scallop are made with Marianne dies

I colored this sweet stamped image with copic markers and then paper pieced her dress, 

apron and pot holder.

As you can see, I had lots of fun using my circle punches and some 

old buttons from my button tin.

The cardstock, sentiment and leaf stamp are Stampin' Up

The design paper is from my scrap pile.

Tissue Box cover and soap dispenser gift

Hello!

Happy Friday!

I am very excited about sharing our brand new 

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge 

with all of you today!

This fortnight our challenge is

Make a Gift/Anything But A Card

Here is my Design Team Project

For my "Gift", I chose to make a 

Tissue Box and Hand soap dispenser.

I used Fresh Brewed Designs,

 "Coffee Take Me Away" rubber stamp

to make a bold black and white design that would be 

useful all year round in a bathroom.

The tissue box tutorial is here

I actually paper pieced the coffee cup with the same textured Stampin Up cardstock that I 

used on the background.

I colored the rest of the image with my copic markers and used crystal effects on the water.

As you can see, I used half of a stamped image for the soap dispenser.

I simply adhered my stamped and bordered image to the strip of black card stock that I wrapped around the soap dispenser.

(I look for a soap dispenser with a flat front)

Black and White Gingham ribbon made the finishing touches.

Tissue box covers are fun and easy to make.

You could easily make covers for each of our celebrated holidays.

The leaf and plaid ribbon came from a beautiful

Floral Fall arrangement that my wonderful son gave to me!

Isn't he sweet?

I was just as excited about getting the pretty leaves and ribbon as I was about the flowers!

The sentiment is computer generated 

I used Stampin up oval and scalloped oval punches

"FALL HARVEST" CARD

Hello!  I'm so very happy and excited that I finally have my power back here in the North East!

I have been looking forward to sharing

 Fresh Brewed Designs 

brand new FALL/CHRISTMAS 

Digi Release!

I had the honor of making a card with Heather's very elegant

FALL HARVEST digi image.

I chose a Fall Leaf designer paper as a background for this 

lovely 

Fall harvest image!

 The bow is actually attached to the die cut tag that I made for the sentiment that I tucked underneath the image.

This is a picture showing the tag.

Recipe

I colored the "FALL HARVEST" digi with my copic markers

I used my scallop oval nestabilities and sponged the background of the digi image.

The tag and the scalloped border are Marianne dies.

I made and inked the large flower in the center from my stash and the smaller paper flowers are from 

Wild Orchid crafts.

The ribbon and pearls are from Stampin Up

The pretty leaf dp is Recollections Simply Autumn
