I'm spending a quiet evening at home with my dear husband.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner together

and we are looking forward to toasting 

a Happy New Year!

I have made a card using

Fresh Brewed Designs

New Year Lady digi

to share with all of 

you to ring in 

2012!

The sentiment is also from Fresh Brewed Designs!

I thought it might be fun to share some of my 

craft room with all of you.

I'll be honest and admit that I tidied it up for the pictures!

I can be a very messy crafter!  Paper, embellishments 

and sticky dimensional tabs

can fly every where and even fall on the floor when I 

am creating!  ;-)

Yup, My desk is unusually tidy!  I must admit though,

that it's been a real pleasure to work at since I tidied up!

We will see how long it lasts.  Do you like my sweet old lamp?

I think that lamp was my grandmothers.  I have a white light lamp up above for my work.

This is containers for pearls, bling and embellishments.

I also have some small die namics and dies here.

This is tidy.  

All of my drawers are packed full of design paper

and paper flowers.

Ah........Yes.  This is the old relic of a SEWING MACHINE that I have just started to sew my cards with!  Believe it or not...

This machine will only sew the zig zag stitch!  I sure do wish that I could sew with a simple straight stitch!  Oh well, Someday!

This is my ribbon shelf system.

Admittedly not the best system, but it works for now.

I have lots of other ribbon that isn't on spools.

My mother gave me a huge basket full!

Do you like my new Winter snowman mascot?

He was knit for me by a VERY DEAR FRIEND!

Looking at this picture, I can't believe how much Orange ribbon 

that I have!  I hardly ever use orange.  I decided to make an orange card for a future challenge.  Be on the look out for that.

It seems that I never have the right shade of blue ribbon for 

my cards.  Every time I find a pretty blue design paper to work with, I discover that I don't have the right shade of blue ribbon.  Then I usually resort to making a pink card!  LOL!  I will have to be on the lookout for some sales.

Though, with Valentines day coming up, I will be all set with

red and pink ribbon!

As you can see, I chose to use a warm golden yellow

with my copic markers.

Then I embossed them with my swirly folder.

Ok.......I got more than a little carried away

while I was painting my snowman's face

with Inspirations fairy dust paint!

My little snowman looks more like he is sledding in 

a blizzard than a snowy day!

I used Recollections O'Christmas Tree Design Paper

The snowflakes were made with MFT dienamics

The blue brads are recollections

I also used my nestabilities for the snowman

I made a Center Step card with

A pastel Christmas card!

Hello!

  It's Thursday!

I'm officially in pure panic mode now,

 as we count down to Christmas!

I know that I'm not alone.

Most of us are very busy little elves.

I always envy those of you who manage to 

get all of your holiday cards, shopping and wrapping 

done up early.

Every year I say, "Next year I am going to get my holiday cards, shopping and wrapping done early."

I guess the key words that keep messing me up are, "NEXT year".

Just remember, as of right now, 

we still have time to get everything done!

I used an oval scallop nestability and then cut off the top and bottom before dry embossing it with snowflakes.
