Today a made a simple

little note card

using one of our brand new

rubber stamps

Latte Love

 

 

I colored Latte Love in with copic markers

I'm proud to say that this card is made

using all scraps and stash!

 

As you can see below, Latte Love comes with

two adorable coffee sentiments!

This is my first attempt at making a

Shabby Chic Card

This was a whole new experience for me!

I inked all of the edges up and made it

look very old!

I even inked the edges of her paper pieced dress!

It turns out that I like to play with ink!

I used all scrap paper too!

Even the pretty ribbon was one left over

end piece that I had left in a bag of ribbon scraps!

The cardstock and papers are scrap pieces

along with the bits of lace and ribbon from my stash.

I used the New Stamp

Latte Love

and the New Sentiment "you make my heart skip a beat"

 

 

to create the front of my

gift card holder/treat box

 

The card that holds the gift card

is attached to the top of

the treat box

 

What a fun way to remind your man

how much you love him!

I tied some blue ribbon around the

box and card to keep the card closed

 



 

 

I filled the treat box with Andes Mints

 



 

 

This is the inside of the card that is attached

to the treat box.
As you can see, I added the coffee gift card inside

along with a place to write your sweet message!

Fussy and Fancy "Use a Faux Technique" Challenge!

I just love Friday's!

Friday's mean that the weekend

is coming up with some free time

to craft and make cards!

Yay me!!!

 

Speaking of making cards

Fussy and Fancy

has a super fun challenge for

you

to participate in with us!

 

The challenge this fortnight is

Use a Faux Technique!

 

I googled Faux techniques

and went on the splitcoast stamping

tutorial sight and found lots of

fun possibilites to try!

 

Here is my card

using the faux tile technique

 

 

 

Recipe

Fresh Brewed Designs  "Coffee Take Me Away" rubber stamp

colored with copic markers and cut into 9 even squares.

I inked around the edges of each square to add the illusion of depth.

I then coated each individual square with crystal effects to give the

glossy appearance of tile.

I chose this stamped image because I can imagine having 

this tiled image in

both a bathroom or a kitchen!

I love the way this came out and I enjoyed

trying this new technique!

The cardstock is Stampin Up

The designer paper is First Edition Paper  Spring Feast

The butterflies are Bo Bunny

The corner embellishment is Wild Orchid Crafts

and the flowers and laces are from my stash!
