Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp Release and Blog Hop

For my project I chose to create using

Isn't she absolutely adorable!
I just love strawberries!
They are my favourite fruit!
 
I colored her with copic markers
and paper pieced her dress.
The dp is doodlebug design

The crocheted flowerd where made by my mom!
The leaves were made with Marianne designs die
The buttons are stampin up
The corners are MFT dienamics
and the pretty gingham ruffle is from
Really Reasonable Ribbon

Just Buzzing' By to say hello

Hello my crafty friends!
I have a short post today
featuring a card that I made
for my grandson, Jakey.
He is having surgery today and
I want to send him some cards
to help cheer him up when
he is home recovering.
 
 
I often refer to Jakey as my little,
"Love Bug", so I thought this adorable
little Bee digi that Heather created
would be make a fun
card for him!

Tim Holtz alterations On the Edge "Brackets"
Tim Holtz alterations Sizzix honeycomb embossing folder
Stampin Up paper clip 
Bees and buttons are from my stash
I colored this adorable bee with copic markers and
used crystal effects on the balloon and
gold glitter glue on the wings.
My very dear and sweet mother has been
crocheting me a wonderful assortment of flowers
and it's always a treat to find, "just the right" one
for each card that I'm creating.
Thank you, mom!
 
Jakey's surgery isn't scheduled until 2:00 this afternoon!
Do you know how hard it is to not feed a toddler all morning?
He was tucked into bed last night with the exciting news
that he would be having a
frozen Lemonade popscicle for breakfast.
My precious little love bug!

Fresh Brewed Designs July Month Long Challenge!

Hello my crafty friends!
It's time for our
July month long
prize challenge at
 
Take A Vacation
 
I made a fun
Red, White and Blue
Shape card using
Fresh Brewed Designs
and
I made this card for my precious 3 year old grandson, Jakey!
He is going fishing with his daddy on Friday and hopefully
he will enjoy a trip to the beach.
Then next Wednesday he is going to the hospital to
have some minor surgery done.
However, we are all a nervous wreck!
I want to make a couple of special cards for him
to receive in the mail, most especially, during his recovery.
 
Recipe
Fresh Brewed Designs Tommy Fishing
The diecut shape is Stampin Up Window Frames
I used Stampin up cardstock
and retired designer paper from my stash.
The, "Big Hug" stamp and punches are stampin up
The, "i love you" stamp is Fresh Brewed Designs
The banner is diecut with MFT dienamics
The "Vacation" is hand written
The stars are from my stash
and the bakers twine is from a bakery box!
I save everything!
 
I'm hoping that Jakey will get this card by Friday!
I thought it would be special to get this in the mail
on the same day that he goes fishing with his daddy!
