Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

The sun is shining and It's Friday!
Happy Friday!
Today we have a new challenge at
Fancy Folds
I'm afraid that I didn't get too fancy with mine.
I needed to make a special birthday card
for a very special little girl here in my
childcare, so I made an easel card.
Here is my card
using Fresh Brewed Designs

We celebrated Lucia's birthday here on Wednesday!
She is going to be graduating from
 my preschool to Kindergarten!  :-(
Her favorite color is yellow and I'm so glad
because I enjoyed making this sunny and cheerful
card for her.
She really liked this card and the pretty yellow
dress that I bought for her.  She was adorable as she
stood up and hugged her dress, held it up to herself and
hugged it again!
Then she was good enough to sit back down to admire her card some more while I pointed out the banner
with her name on it and the number 5.
This adorable Little Gianna digi looks just like her!

On a personal note
It's been really lousy and rainy weather so far this week!
My garden is starting to look like a jungle!
The good news is that they are forecasting beautiful and sunny
weather all the way through the weekend starting Thursday!
This is really good news for me!  I really need to get outside
with all of the children who come here!
I just invested in a brand new water table and we are
all anxious to bring it outside and try it out!
Splish Splash!
The children helped me put it all together
yesterday.  They were all so proud to be big helpers!
It was lots of fun to play with it empty.  They had a blast
making all of the little figures go down the slides.
They can only imagine how much
fun it will be when we actually
fill it up with water!  ;-)
Today we are all celebrating
the birthday of one of the little girls who comes
here.  She is going to be graduating to
Kindergarten and she is turning 5 yrs. old!
Where has all the time gone?
Today, I only want to focus on her special day and not
feel too sad about her leaving.
Her favorite color is yellow and she is very much a
girly girl!   I bought her a pretty
yellow summer dress! She loves dresses and
she has hinted several times that if I happen to see a dress
it's alright if I buy one for her birthday!  LOL!
I made her a very special card using a Fresh Brewed Designs
digi that looks JUST LIKE HER!  I will post her
birthday card here on Friday!
Well, I had better go and hang the,"Happy Birthday" banner
and get things ready for the party!
I apologize for not visiting your blogs for the past two days.
I promise to catch up on all of your lovely
crafty cards and projects as soon as I can.
Shamefully, I have been opting for sleep and
going to bed early.
Thank you for visiting!
I appreciate all of your lovely comments!

Happy Fathers Day! Still hopping & Blog Candy

Hello to all of my very talented and crafty friends!
Please don't miss out on our
Fresh Brewed Designs
New rubber stamp Blog HOP!
I'm offering blog candy for my
followers Old and New!

Today we are honoring our fathers as we celebrate
Fathers Day!
I'm so very blessed to have my daddy!
He has always been such a strong guiding figure in
my life.  As a teenager and into my early twenties
I worked with my father at his business.
I learned so much about business management
from my father.
Today, I run my own childcare/preschool
As a child I have so many very special memories
of my dad.
I can remember him holding the back of my
bicycle seat as he ran down the street with me
and taught me how to ride my bike!
I felt so very safe and secure knowing that he
wouldn't let me fall.
I remember when he would surprise all of us
by having us load into the car in our pajamas
and he would take us to the Drive In Movies
or bring us for ice cream.
My father worked long hard hours to support
our family, but he made sure that we
had the best family vacations together!
He brought us camping, pitched a tent and cooked
big breakfasts for us over a campfire!
We always camped right on a beautiful lake.
Then he would bring us for really fun
boat rides and fishing trips in our family boat.
I loved to go fishing!
When I was a little older, he built a small
cottage along the lake.
Soon we stopped going up north and started to
holiday down at Cape Cod in our summer house.
Our summer holidays on the ocean were filled with
boat rides, walks on the beach and yummy BBQ'S!
I always treasured those very special weekends
that my dad would pack up the car along with my mom
and drive us all down the Cape on a Friday night.
Now my parents live down at the Cape while
they enjoy their retirement.
Our visits with them are no less special!
No matter where my parents live,
I always feel like I've come home when I
walk through their door.
I made this nautical themed card for my
dad for Fathers Day because he loves the ocean so much!

Happy Fathers Day, Dear Dad!
I love you so very much!

On a personal note
Sadly, the picture I shared of the nest with 3 pretty Robins eggs inside has been abandoned by its parents!
I was hoping to get more pictures after they hatched, while they were growing.  :-(
It's so sad.  The three pretty eggs are still sitting in the nest all alone.  The parents are no where in sight.
I would dearly love to report the Robin parents to the authorities for neglect!
I am off now to welcome all of the little cherubs here to my daycare/preschool.
We are doing a circus theme and learning about opposites.
The other day we did HAPPY and SAD clowns!
The children all LOVED performing their Happy and Sad feelings both vocally and with priceless
facial expressions!  They continued dramatizing and play acting all day long!
I couldn't count how many times they had me convinced that one of them was really crying or hurt!  They all turned out to be excellent actors!
Today we are making those yummy Hershey Kiss and Pretzel treats for their daddy's Father's Day gift.
They all made a special mug with their hand prints on them for us to put the treats inside of!

Thank you so much for visiting!
I hope that you have a great day!

crystal effects on the windows
The card stock is Stampin Up
The DP is My Minds Eye Happier
I used white felt for the clouds with MFT cloud dienamics
The blue scalloped edge is a MFT dienamic die also.
I used it because it reminded me of clouds.
The die cuts, ribbon, button and twine are all Stampin Up
I used my sewing machine to give my card a more finished look.
The inside sentiment is from Fresh Brewed Designs
and I apologize because my printer was low on ink.
I traced over the letters with my ink pen, so the words didn't come out nice and clean.

My little baby grandson is growing!  I just love all of those very
special newborn grunts and stretches that he makes!
