Hello! It's been a whole week since my last post!
Where did the week go?
The pollen has been a thick yellow blanket outside!
YUCK! I just came inside from hosing off the gym
sets, slides and toys in my back yard!
The weekend simply flew bye! I was able to make a couple of cards for future challenges.
I had a long list of
things that I wanted to get done, though, and barely touched it!
I attended a late workshop for my childcare/preschool last night!
It was about the impact of nutrition on behavior/Food For thought.
I found it very interesting.
Then when I got home, I had to hurry and finish working on a
birthday card for one of the little girls who comes here. She is
celebrating her 4th birthday and she loves mermaids!
We are having her
birthday party here today!
I will share her birthday card soon!
We have a fun sketch challenge at
Freshly Brewed Challenges!
I love sketch challenges!
Don't you?
I made my card using
Fresh Brewed Designs
Beach Bums rubber stamp
I colored her
with my copic markers. Then I had fun stamping and paper piecing her
tiny polka dot bikini!
She is so EASY TO COLOR!
This is the very first stamp that I ordered from
Fresh Brewed Designs! She is sweet and sexy!
The perfect summertime stamp!
Here is the fun sketch so that you can play along!
Just wait until you see the wonderful inspiration that
my fabulous and talented DT mates have created
for your viewing pleasure!
Pop on over to take a peek!
Then join in on the fun!

I had promised to snap some pictures of my very humble
vegetable garden! Here in the North East,
we are all just now planting.
We planted Big Boy tomatoes and cluster tomatoes,
summer squash, zucchini,
green peppers,and cucumbers
In the picture below, you can see that my whole back yard
is fenced in. The vegetable garden is in the background.
This little garden is along the back walk leading up to my deck.
We still need to add some mulch.
You can see part of my childcare/preschool playground in the
background too.
The groundhogs have no problem getting in the first fenced
in section, but I'm hoping that the second fenced garden(inside the fenced area) will
be safe this year.
This is a picture of my Beagle, Suzie Q! She is
looking down toward the shed where the ground hogs live!
I have a long back deck. We actually have two Robins nests this year! One under each end along the support beams.
Then I have some Black Capped Chickadees nesting
inside of a decorative little birdhouse that I have in the back yard!
I love the birds!
I snapped this picture of one of the nests by peeking
through the cracks in the deck!
Well that's it for now.
I hope that all of you have a great day!
Warmest Hugs, Sheryl
