Happy Friday everyone!
We have a brand new challenge at
Fussy and Fancy this fortnight.
Our latest challenge is
Vintage with distressing and lace
Well, I'm really bad.
First of all this was a huge challenge for me because it is
totally out of my comfort zone.
I had to go out and buy the supplies to use on this card.
(After I watched several tutorials on You tube!)
However, I really did have lots of fun playing with the ink!
Second of all, I just now realized that my card is supposed
to have lace!
Ugh! I thought it was Vintage with distressing!
So here is my DT card
Have you ever thought that your card was, "Ok"?
And then when you look at the actual picture of it
you realize, "I shouldn't have done that" or
"It's missing this"?
Well, It happens to me all the time.
Looking at my card, I realize that I should have
weathered or inked my flower more.
I actually had a Tim Holtz tissue tape "music note"
flower made, originally that looked pretty good.
Don't ask me why I swapped it out.
I simply couldn't tell you.
Recipe
Black and cream cardstock from Stampin Up
I stamped the back piece of cream cardstock
with white adirondack lights acrylic paint
using a leaf pattern rubber stamp.
Then when it was dry, I inked over it with
Tim Holtz Distress Ink bundled sage
For the stamped image section
I used two inks on the cream paper
Tim Holtz bundled sage
and a small amount of tumbled glass
I wanted this piece to be more of a
blue green than the green piece
behind it.
when it was dry, I stamped it with a
Hero Arts vintage stamp in black
I sanded and distressed all of the edges
and put it all together with some dotted ribbon
and my ahem..... flower.
For some really impressive vintage cards and projects
please stop by our

Then we hope that you join in on the fun!
On a personal note
I feel horrible that I haven't been able to

I'm so very touched that you still take the time
to comment on my cards even though
I haven't been by to visit you!

Gorgeous card - hard to believe you feel it was all very difficult! Love the black silhouette image, and the colours you've chosen around it, and the distressing round the edges is super!
